Yacht and Brokerage Show in Miami Beach

MIAMI The Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach, Miami’s premier in-water boat show, is set to make a splash along Collins Avenue from February 16 – 20, 2012, presenting yachts and superyachts from the world’s most extraordinary custom boat builders. The show is free and open to the public.

New and exciting show developments are in the works, including the show’s new smartphone app, MyBoatShow. Officially launched in October 2011 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® with tremendous success, the free app, available on iPhone and Android platforms, is designed to help navigate the show’s docks, land areas and tents.  Attendees will be able to access show maps and search for exhibitors, manufacturers, product categories and boats by specifications and size.  The app, which will be available for all boat shows produced by Show Management , also provides the show schedule, seminar information, show transportation schedules and maps, food and drink locations, restroom locations and emergency services.

Also new to this year’s Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach is TrawlerPort, a true show within a show.  Located at the north end of the show, TrawlerPort will offer an impressive display of long-range cruisers called Trawlers.  Trawlers are offered in lengths ranging from 35 to 90 feet and are built for long-term cruising of regional and worldwide destinations.

Inside TrawlerPort, attendees will find the floating Trawler Island, where seminars will be presented on topics including destination cruising and navigation.  TrawlerPort is designed to help trawler enthusiasts and prospective buyers easily navigate their way through the products and services that cater to the passagemaking lifestyle. TrawlerPort boats will be marked with banners and flags for easy identification.

The show’s Yacht Equipment Pavilion and Sportfishing Pavilion offer show goers the perfect setting to experience the latest in marine gear, sportfishing equipment, electronics and gadgets and enjoy seminars by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA).  Attendees also will find food and refreshments and live musical entertainment on the show’s floating cocktail barges.

This year’s show will feature more than 500 new and pre-owned vessels valued at more than a billion dollars and covering more than 1.2 million square feet of space over a mile-long strip of the Indian Creek Waterway in the heart of beautiful Miami Beach along Collins Avenue (S.R. A1A) from 41st to 51st Streets, situated directly across from landmark hotels, including the Fontainebleau, Eden Roc and Miami Beach Resort and Spa.

Parking is available around the show area between 64th and 85th Streets and Collins Ave.  Signage will direct attendees to parking and free shuttle buses. The show offers free shuttle bus service to and from the Convention Center boat show location and Sea Isle Marina site on Collins Avenue. Shuttle service to both locations begins one hour before the show and runs continuously to 8 p.m. on Thursday, 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and 7 p.m. on Monday.
