An accidental dunking at the slip, gas dock or other area can be embarrassing and potentially fatal. And trying to crawl back onto the dock can be equally dangerous—or, in some cases, nearly impossible. Docks with freeboards over 12" make it particularly difficult to get onto the dock without assistance. Strategically placed Up-N-Out marina safety ladders, distributed by Premier Materials Technology, provide a safe and effortless way to return to the safety of the dock.
Unlike typical chain or rope ladders that hang loosely in the water and kick under the dock when weight is applied, the bottom rung of the Up-N-Out ladder actually extends toward the user to make the first step easier to reach. As weight is added, the ladder remains rigid when deployed, giving the user more stability and a safer exit from the water. When not in use, the Up-N-Out ladder is conveniently stored out of the water in a collapsed position. Yet the bottom rung is still easily accessible from the water. To deploy the ladder, simply pull down on the bottom step and extend it to full length.
Designed for both freshwater and saltwater, the Up-N-Out ladder is constructed of durable, stainless steel. It features RIE marine-coated bolts, and its anchoring plate is powdercoated with a high-visibility, yellow Polyarmor coating. Three models of the ladder are currently available to fit docks with freeboards of 12" to 22", 22" to 32" and 32" to 42".
Premier is the exclusive distributor of the Up-N-Out marina safety ladder. List pricing of the ladder starts at $189.
